The four lenses

• moat — the quality lens: how wide and durable the competitive advantage is (the matrix’s x-axis).
• margin — the value lens: margin of safety, how far price sits below intrinsic value (the y-axis).
• quadrant — the matrix: every idea placed on quality × value; the target is high-quality & undervalued.
• conviction — weighting: how strongly each thesis is held, and how that shifts over time.
